Dinner party and book giving with Pasta Girlfriend

No. 18 — A night of strangers turned friends, pasta and tiramisu and books and conversation.

Both Seen Library and Pasta Girlfriend agree that the best things in life are the things that bring us together — like food and stories — which is why doing the first ever Seen Library dinner party and book giving with Pasta Girlfriend felt so right. It felt extra special knowing Ali (founder of Pasta Girlfriend) and I met for the first time in person after being invited to a book event for Little Fires Everywhere’s TV show adaptation a few years back.

We didn’t know what to expect throwing a last minute three-course pasta dinner party and book giving together for 24 strangers, but I do know that we ended the night feeling so full — of pasta but also gratitude for all the incredible women that came to dinner (mostly solo!) willing to make new friends over lots of food and books at Angelini Osteria, the absolute best restaurant to host our private dinner as they went above and beyond.

It is really incredible being a part of a group of kind, open, curious and interesting women and I hope to do more of these soon. Thank you to everyone who joined us and who made tickets sell out in a day and a half!!
